Overview

Dennis is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, where he specialized in Private International Law. Having been exposed to the legal profession from an early age, he has developed experience in handling complex disputes for high-profile and private clients. His practice covers political party disputes, criminal litigation involving corruption and money laundering, commercial arbitration under SIAC and BANI rules, arbitration under the LMAA Rules, as well as civil and transnational litigation involving tort and breach of contract claims. One of the defining chapters of Dennis’ legal career has been his involvement in the Boeing litigation, which began during the early years of his university studies and continued for more than four years. Working alongside leading U.S. trial attorneys and Indonesian counsel, he assisted in coordinating and advancing wrongful death claims on behalf of Indonesian victims’ families, contributing to the successful resolution of numerous claims through multimillion-dollar settlements and the recovery of available compensation. His involvement in the matter, including Khan v. The Boeing Company, No. 1:20-cv-05773 (N.D. Ill.), also formed the foundation of his undergraduate thesis examining the allocation of damages to Indonesian beneficiaries in cross-border wrongful death claims arising from the Boeing 737 MAX 8 crash. Beyond legal practice, Dennis believes that the practice of law is ultimately about helping people navigate challenging circumstances, whether in commercial disputes, criminal proceedings, or matters that cross national borders.
